On the afternoon of May 9th, a retirement ceremony was held in Room 101, Zhentai Building, Longhu Campus, to honor three retired teachers: Zhao Nie, Qin Yong, and Xiao Hui. The ceremony was attended by Guo Yahong, Director of the Retirement and Personnel Department, and all faculty and staff of the Department of Physical Education. The ceremony was presided over by Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education.

During the ceremony, Wei Jian, Director of the Department of Physical Education, delivered a summary and evaluation of the contributions of each retired teacher: Zhao Nie, Qin Yong, and Xiao Hui. He expressed high praise for their achievements, reminiscing about their numerous awards and honors, and expressed sincere gratitude for their dedication.

Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education, acknowledged the three teachers’ decades of service to the school’s athletic program and their contributions to its growth. He thanked them for their hard work and expressed hope that they would continue to support the school’s athletic endeavors. He wished them a fulfilling life, happiness in their families, and good health.

Zhao Nie, Qin Yong, and Xiao Hui each shared their reflections on their time working at the school. They expressed their satisfaction with the school’s rapid development and appreciation for the Department of Physical Education’s arrangements. They also shared their fond memories of their colleagues and affirmed their continued support for the school’s athletic programs.

Guo Yahong, Director of the Retirement and Personnel Department, explained the faculty and staff retirement policies, addressing concerns about pensions, medical insurance, party dues, physical examinations, and living allowances. This aimed to ease the transition for the retired teachers.

The ceremony concluded with young teachers presenting flowers to the retirees. Guo Yahong, Director of the Retirement and Personnel Department, Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education, and Wei Jian, Director of the Department of Physical Education, each presented the retired teachers with a certificate of honorary retirement and posed for commemorative photographs.

This retirement ceremony marked a significant milestone in the lives of these teachers and demonstrated the Department of Physical Education’s commitment to their well-being. The department consistently prioritizes the well-being of its staff, organizing events such as holiday celebrations, welfare visits, and retirement ceremonies to foster a positive work environment, enhance staff satisfaction, and strengthen team unity.
