Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and centering on the main theme of studying, publicizing and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Department of Physical Education, in line with the school’s requirement for the simultaneous launch of the “Inherit the Red Gene·Tomb-Sweeping Day to Commemorate Martyrs” activity, organized a series of activities for the Qingming Festival in 2023.

The Teaching and Research Section of Leisure Sports leveraged the Tomb-Sweeping Day holiday this year and new media forms to launch an online event titled “Remembering Martyrs, Carrying Forward the Spirit of Heroes” to pay tribute to heroes. The department encourages teachers to visit nearby sites such as Bishagang Park to participate in offline memorial activities, ensuring that remembering martyrs becomes ingrained in their hearts and the spirit of heroism is always carried forward.

The Teaching and Research Section of Art-sports organized all teachers to participate in the “Online Memorial to Heroes” activity launched by the China Civilization Network. Each teacher actively participated, offering flowers, lighting candles, and choosing their own words of respect to commemorate the people’s heroes. They paid tribute to all the heroes and martyrs who have made contributions to the Chinese nation and people.

The Teaching and Research Section of Table Tennis&Badminton&Tennis Department of Physical Education has launched an online memorial event, calling on teachers to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who made tremendous sacrifices and contributions to national independence, people’s liberation, national prosperity, and people’s happiness. The event aims to foster a strong sense of unity and dedication for the new journey of progress and achievements in the new era.

Teachers in the Office also expressed their remembrance of revolutionary martyrs through the cloud and watching relevant videos.

Remembering is the best tribute, inheriting is the best remembrance. Through different ways of paying tribute to martyrs, let us keep in mind the General Secretary’s instructions, listen to the party and follow the party, commemorate the martyrs with practical actions based on our own work, steadily improve our personal qualities, and contribute to the construction of a strong sports nation and a strong education nation.
