On the afternoon of May 9th, a 2023 Annual School Athletics Work Training Session was held in Room 101, Zhentai Building, Longhu Campus. The session was attended by Deputy Secretaries and Heads of Teaching Offices from various colleges, as well as members of the Department of Physical Education’s leadership team, representatives from the teaching and research sections, the office, the teaching office, and all staff from the Physical Health Test Center. The training session was chaired by Wei Jian, Director of the Department of Physical Education.
At the meeting, Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education, presented an overview of the department’s collaboration with colleges. To further leverage the exemplary role of Party members, the department decided to establish a mechanism for each branch to connect with college athletics programs. This will facilitate communication and ensure the smooth implementation of various athletic initiatives within colleges.
Wei Jian, Director of the Department of Physical Education, introduced the Regulations on Points Management for Student Mass Athletics Activities in Secondary Colleges of Zhongyuan University of Technology. These regulations, continuously refined since their pilot implementation, provide targeted guidance for mass athletic activities within colleges.
Chen Ke, Director of the Physical Health Test Center, outlined the Implementation Plan (Trial) for the National Student Physical Health Standard Grading Certificate System in Zhongyuan University of Technology and related arrangements. To ensure the smooth and effective implementation of this system, the Physical Health Test Center will fully support and facilitate all aspects of the physical health test process.
Following the meeting, attendees engaged in lively discussions on the establishment of branch-college connections, points systems for mass athletics activities, and the implementation of the physical health standard grading certificate system. This athletics work training session will provide a collaborative mechanism, leadership support, and institutional safeguards for the successful development of athletic programs at our university.
