To enrich campus cultural life and stimulate the enthusiasm of faculty and staff to participate in sports activities, from May 15th to 19th, the "Zhongyuan Institute of Technology 10th Faculty Table Tennis Competition" was held at the Longhu Campus Gymnasium in the form of team matches, with the theme "University Name Change, I am Striving." The competition was organized by the University Trade Union and co-hosted by the Physical Education Department and the University Table Tennis Association. The Physical Education Department's Teachers’ union won the first place in the team competition.

The Physical Education Department's trade union team is composed of the president of the University Table Tennis Association,Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education, Zhao Hongliang, Deputy Director Li Xuezhai, Director of the Ping Pong, Badminton, and Tennis Teaching and Research Office Tian Zhaohui, teacher Zhou Xinmin, Director of the Art and Physical Education Teaching and Research Office Ye Hui, Director of the Teaching Affairs Office Qu Zhifang, Trade Union Chairman Wang Ning, and table tennis coaches Wang Le and Qin Yanan. The competition followed the latest Table Tennis Competition Rules by the General Administration of Sport of China, using a best-of-five-set system, and divided into two stages. The first stage was a group round-robin to produce the top eight, and the second stage was an elimination round among the top eight to determine the final rankings.

This competition fully demonstrated the good spirit of the department's faculty and staff in the new era, and the sportsmanship of "friendship first, competition second" has further taken root in competitors’ hearts, further stimulating the determination and confidence of the faculty and staff to decisively win the establishment of Henan University of Electronic Science and Technology.
