On the evening of June 1st, the 14th "Youth • Sunshine • Health" Sports Culture Festival and Fitness Aerobics and Fitness Beauty Contest of Zhongyuan University of Technology, hosted by the University Sports Committee and organized by the Propaganda Department, Teachers' Union, Youth League Committee, Student Affairs Office, Security Department, Logistics Service Center, and Physical Education Department, was grandly held at the Zixi Square of Longhu Campus. The leaders in charge of this festival attended the evening party.
The evening party kicked off with a splendid performance of national fitness aerobics by the university's aerobics team. Yang Wenle, a teacher from the School of Economics and Management, brought a solo Make you feel my love to send Children's Day blessings to the present big friends. Subsequently, the finals of fitness aerobics and fitness beauty were held. The 10 college representative teams that entered the fitness aerobics final carefully arranged and designed, and trained hard, presenting a visual feast for the on-site audience with their vigorous dance, rhythmic music, and skilled cooperation. The 12 contestants in groups A and B of the fitness beauty final showed their upright posture, strong muscles, and confident smiles through prescribed and optional movements, which attracted bursts of applause and cheers from the teachers and students on the scene.
After the competition, the University Art Troupe presented a passionate and energetic street dance performance, and the individual fitness display by Zhou Ying, an alumnus from the Class of 082, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, further pushed the atmosphere to a climax.
After the intense competition, the top performers in each event were determined. In the fitness aerobics final, the School of Architectural Engineering and the School of Journalism and Communication won the first group awards, the School of Art and Design, the School of Foreign Studies, and the School of Energy and Environment won the second group awards, and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Costume, the Software College, the Zhongyuan-Petersburg Aviation College, and the School of Science won the third group awards. From the School of Economics and Management, Chen Xinrui, Gao Qing, and Wang Sen respectively secured the first, second, and third places in the Men's Physique Group A; while from the School of Costume, Xia Chenlong, from the School of Software, Fu Yuqi, and from the School of Economics and Management, Li Zhihao respectively secured the first, second, and third places in the Men's Physique Group B. The School of Textile, the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering, the Law School, the Intellectual Property School, and the Software College were awarded the Excellent Organization Award for this competition.
Vice Chairman of the Teachers’ Union Zhan Jinghao, Director of the Student Affairs Office Fang Jingyong, Director of the Security Department Jiang Fangri, Director of the Logistics Service Center Chen Houmin, Deputy Minister of the Propaganda Department Li Ju, and Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee Bu Yanping presented awards to the winning colleges and individuals.
The University Sports Culture Festival, as a traditional sports event of our university, provides a youthful stage for college students to present their talents and personalities. It not only enhances students' physical and artistic literacy as well as team spirit but also displays the teaching achievements of our university's fitness aerobics and fitness beauty programs. The festival fosters a positive and healthy campus sports culture, allowing more students to enjoy the fun of physical exercise, improve their physical fitness, develop their personalities, and temper their willpower through sports activities.
