On the afternoon of August 29, the leadership team of the Department of Physical Education held an online special democratic life meeting to study and implement Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The meeting was presided over by Comrade Zhao Hongliang, the Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education .

Before the meeting, the leadership team of the Department of Physical Education conducted a special study and discussion, and engaged in in-depth conversations with faculty and staff. They also comprehensively reviewed and examined the existing issues within the department, and carefully prepared the department’s self-examination materials and personal speaking outlines, making adequate ideological and work preparations for a successful democratic life meeting.

In the meeting, Zhao Hongliang report on the implementation of rectification measures from the 2022 democratic life meeting. He represented the leadership team in conducting a self-examination and led the way in criticism and self-criticism. Each member of the team then engaged in self-criticism, deeply examining problems, analyzing issues through typical examples, and identifying root causes. They also proposed rectification measures and linked them to their practical work and thinking, carrying out mutual criticism with seriousness and sincerity.

Zhao Hongliang, the Secretary of the General Party Branch, summarized that this thematic democratic life meeting focused on the theme, which achieved the goal of further unifying thoughts, clarifying direction, and uniting forces.
