On the afternoon of August 31st, the Department of Physical Education convened a work meeting for the Autumn semester of 2023 in Room 101 of Zhen Tai Building, to arrange the work for the new semester and convey the spirit learning from the school’s meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education, with all faculty and staff in attendance.

At the meeting, Zhao Hongliang, the Secretary of the General Party Branch, first conducted a warning education session to promote reform through case studies. Combining the theme education, he analyzed the issues related to the Three Public Expenditures through case analysis, deeply understood the lessons from the cases, and recognized the importance of establishing and implementing a supervisory mechanism. He called on all party members and the majority of faculty and staff to strictly implement the responsibility system for ideological work, resolutely not to cross the red line, strictly uphold the bottom line, maintain high standards of teacher ethics, and to be a conscientious university teacher.

The Director of the Department of Physical Education, Wei Jian, conveyed the spirit of the school’s middle-level cadres meeting, and reported on the various tasks carried out over the past year centered around the preparation for the establishment of the university. He also highlighted the significant progress made recently and introduced the ten key tasks for the new semester one by one in the meeting. Director Wei Jian also made specific requirements for daily teaching, sports team training, group activities, and scientific research. In conclusion, he emphasized that all teachers should give priority to strengthen their sense of responsibility, teach diligently, engage actively in scientific research, and ensure the high-quality completion of their job tasks. Secondly, all teachers should hold fast to the sports front, enhance process-oriented assessments in physical education, leverage the role of sports clubs, and actively foster a strong athletic atmosphere on our campus.
