On September 11, 2023, the teaching team of the Physical Form and Image Shaping course from South China University of Technology and China University MOOC visited our school to conduct educational exchange and guidance. The team was led by Professor Fan Lianxiang, Dean of the School of Physical Education at South China University of Technology, with visiting scholar Tang Haiyan as the main speaker.

In the class, Professor Tang demonstrated the correct sitting, standing, and walking postures, as well as social etiquette, to the students. She led the students through basic exercises for sitting, breathing, smiling, and strengthening the lumbar and back muscles. Through body shaping and posture training, she helped students adjust and change their postures and movements, assisting them in establishing a correct aesthetic view and understanding and mastering basic etiquette knowledge. Through the course’s demonstration teaching, students gained a deeper understanding of physical form and image, and developed a strong interest in shaping their own good personal image. This also had a positive impact on the construction of related courses at our school.

Professor Fan Lianxiang is a PhD supervisor, an international judge for rhythmic gymnastics, and a member of the National Sports Teaching Guidance Committee of Higher Education Institutions. She is also a member of the first National Health Education Teaching Guidance Committee and the vice president of the Chinese University Rhythmic Gymnastics Association.

Tang Haiyan is a national-level rhythmic gymnast and a artistic gymnast. She is the head coach of the Guangdong Provincial High-level Rhythmic Gymnastics Team and a national champion coach. She has also been named one of China’s Top 10 Fitness Ladies, and holds national-level rhythmic gymnastics instructor and first-level rhythmic gymnastics referee qualifications.
