On the afternoon of September 14th, our university held the coordination meeting for the 36th Annual Sports Games in Meeting Room 501 of the Administration Building on the Longhu campus. Heads of relevant functional departments and vice secretaries of each college attended the meeting. Zheng Changqing, director of the Party and Administration Office, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Wei Jian, director of the Department of Physical Education, conveyed the latest directives from higher authorities regarding school sports and provided an update on preparations for the 36th Annual Sports Games. Li Xuezai, deputy director of the Department of Physical Education, presented the specific responsibilities and actions required to prepare for upcoming sports games and outlined the competition regulations.

Zheng Changqing, Director of the Party and Administration, emphasized that this year, our university will host its first-ever autumn sports game. And it was also the first large-scale sporting event we held after the pandemic. As our university is actively preparing for its name change, we call on all departments and schools to fully support the sports games. Let’s cultivate a campus-wide athletic atmosphere, and promote widespread participation. This event can significantly enhance our university’s image and contribute to our name change. Safety and security are paramount for the sports games. All departments are responsible for meticulous preparation, paying attention to detail, and ensuring comprehensive safety training for both athletes and volunteers. We strongly encourage acquiring personal accident insurance for all participants. These measures will help guarantee a safe and successful event for all.
