On the afternoon of December 19th, the Department of Physical Education convened the Fourth Session of the Fifth Faculty Democratic Management Conference in Conference Room 101 of Zhentai Building. The meeting was presided over by Zhao Hongliang, the Secretary of the General Party Branch.

According to the meeting agenda, Director Wei Jian of the Department of Physical Education presented the Party and Administration Work Report for 2023. Director Wei Jian provided a comprehensive review and summary of the year’s thematic education, sports teaching reforms, mass sports, competitive training, physical fitness testing, teaching and research, as well as work related to the labor union, comprehensive governance, archives, and family planning. Further requirements were also outlined for teaching, invigilation, and research activities at the end of the semester.

Wang Ning, the Chairman of the Department of Physical Education Branch Union, reported on the work of the union for 2023, primarily reviewing the various cultural and sports activities organized by the branch union and the construction of its “small union home.” On behalf of the current branch union members, Chairman Wang Ning expressed gratitude for everyone’s support and encouragement, hoping that all teachers would play a role in democratic management and supervision, and that through joint efforts, the continuous, healthy, coordinated, and rapid development of the Department of Physical Education’s undertakings could be promoted. Zhang Zhenhua, the Propaganda Committee Member of the Department of Physical Education Branch Union, announced the income and expenditure of the branch union for the year, ensuring that all activities and finances were made public and transparent.

Zhao Hongliang, the Secretary, delivered the concluding speech, thanking the branch union for their hard work throughout the year and expressing hope for even greater achievements in various activities in the coming year.
