To further enhance preparations for the undergraduate education and teaching assessment of the Department of Physical Education in 2024, a video conference was held on January 19th to promote the assessment work, with the aims of re-mobilizing, re-emphasizing, and re-deploying tasks related to the assessment. All members of the leadership team, as well as personnel above the department level from the teaching and research section, teaching office, and administrative office attended the meeting. Wei Jian, the director of the Department of Physical Education, presided over the conference.

At the meeting, Wei Jian emphasized the significance of passing the high-quality review and evaluation for the school’s development during the critical period of preparing for the establishment of Henan University of Electronic Technology with high standards. He led the participants to carefully study the Work Plan for Undergraduate Education Teaching Review and Evaluation of Zhongyuan University of Technology, examined the content related to sports in the review and evaluation indicator system, and conducted a detailed comparison and analysis of the 22 tasks outlined in the Recent Key Work Arrangements for Teaching Units in the Undergraduate Education Teaching Review and Evaluation issued by the school’s evaluation center. He required each teaching and research section to conduct self-evaluations and self-checks, identify gaps and make improvements in accordance with the evaluation work plan. Additionally, he assigned tasks for the next stage of the review and evaluation preparations for the Department of Physical Education, clarifying the responsibilities and deadlines for each task. The meeting also discussed and made arrangements for tasks such as national fund applications and the establishment of the Intelligent Sports Engineering major.

After the meeting, each teaching and research section held follow-up meetings in accordance with the meeting requirements to further disseminate, study, and arrange the work related to the review and evaluation as well as the application for national fund projects. All teachers were mobilized to utilize their vacation time to thoroughly study the review and evaluation manual, prepare their teaching materials for the past three years in accordance with the document requirements, and actively write proposals for national social science funds or humanities and social science funds of the Ministry of Education based on their research interests and expertise. The teachers expressed their willingness to actively cooperate with the school and department’s work, conscientiously carry out the review and evaluation as well as the national fund application work, and contribute to the renaming of the school as Henan University of Electronic Technology with their utmost efforts.
