On the afternoon of March 5th, the Theoretical Center of the Department of Physical Education organized a concentrated study session in the 309conference room of Zhen Tai Building. The Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education, Zhao Hongliang, presided over the session, and all members of the center group participated in the study.

In the preface, President Xi Jinping pointed out that only with a strong theoretical foundation can we have a clear direction, a united people, and sufficient confidence. It is necessary to consolidate and expand the results of the thematic education, unswervingly use the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era to unite and inspire people, truly master the basic skills of Marxism, ensure ideological, political, and actional unity, and comprehensively improve the political, leadership, and working capabilities that are compatible with the advancement of modernization with Chinese characteristics. It is necessary to be adept at drawing spiritual motivation from the party’s innovative theories to forge ahead vigorously and bravely, strengthen historical self-confidence, hone our ability to fight, and always strive forward with an enterprising and resilient attitude to make contributions in the new era. In the preface, President Xi Jinping emphasized that theories cannot be discussed idly, nor can principles be discussed in empty talk. The purpose of studying the party’s innovative theories is to apply them. Cadres at all levels must carry forward the Marxist style of study that integrates theory with practice, consciously grasp and apply the powerful ideological weapon of the party’s innovative theories, closely focus on the central task of comprehensively advancing the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation through modernization with Chinese characteristics, continuously address issues that restrict high-quality development, issues that are urgent, difficult, and concerning to the people, and prominent issues in party building, effectively prevent and defuse major risks, work creatively, and continuously turn the grand blueprint outlined in the 20th CPC National Congress into a beautiful reality. In the preface, President Xi Jinping pointed out that since the new era, the party's theoretical and practical innovations have been very vivid, and our learning should also be vivid. This batch of textbooks reflects the innovative achievements of the new era and showcases the vivid practice of our party in advancing and expanding modernization with Chinese characteristics.
