With the bright spring sunshine and a gentle breeze, on the afternoon of March 11th, our school, as one of the units for the spot-check and re-examination of the National Standards for Student Physical Fitness in Henan Province in 2023, conducted a re-examination of physical tests for over 400 students from seven colleges at the Central Sports Field, under the supervision of a team of experts from the Education Department. With the strong support of the student affairs staff from the School of Architectural Engineering, School of Costume, School of Economics and Management, School of Textile, School of Art and Design, School of Automation and Electrical Engineering (Integrated Circuit), and School of Information and Communication Engineering, as well as the active cooperation of the students who participated in the re-examination and the school hospital, all referees and volunteers were scientifically assigned and meticulously organized, successfully completing the spot-check and re-examination work for more than 400 students across colleges, grades, and majors.
The spot-check and re-examination of the National Standards for Student Physical Health is an important task carried out by the Department of Education to implement the spirit of the Implementation Plan on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Sports Work in the New Era issued by the General Office of the Provincial Party Committee and the General Office of the Provincial People’s Government. It aims to further promote the testing work of our province’s National Standards for Student Physical Health and effectively improve the physical health level of adolescents. As one of the units selected for the spot-check and re-examination, under the specific guidance of Principal Hai, relevant departments and colleges of our university have seriously implemented and cooperated to showcase the good spirit and quality level of our teachers and students, which has been highly praised by the expert group of the Department of Education. Our school will take this test as an opportunity to continuously strengthen the implementation of the National Standards for Student Physical Health, effectively improve students’ physical and health literacy, and contribute to the construction of a talent training system with an integrated approach to moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education by harnessing the power of physical education.
