On a warm and bright spring day, the 2024 Henan Province Orienteering and Radio Direction Finding League (Zhongyuan University of Technology Station) kicked off as scheduled on March 30th. The Director of the Department of Physical Education, Wei Jian, delivered a welcome speech, and Ren Weihua, Vice Chairman of the Henan Province Student Sports Association Orienteering and Radio Direction Finding Association, declared the opening. This event, as the first station of the annual league, attracted more than 500 athletes, team leaders, and coaches from cities such as Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Jiaozuo, and Nanyang, igniting a feast of wisdom and physical competition, lighting the fire for the 2024 Henan Province Orienteering and Radio Direction Finding League.

Orienteering and radio direction finding are sports that are both challenging and fun. They test not only the physical fitness and intelligence of the participants but also the team's ability to work together, and they provide an opportunity to get close with nature. The competition was held on the beautiful campus of Zhongyuan University of Technology, where our university's orienteering team lived up to expectations. After fierce competition, they achieved excellent results, demonstrating the good competitive level and logical analysis ability of our students. In the end, Liu Yuan from the School of Software, Tang Yexiang from the School of Energy and Environment, and Bi Qiancheng from the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering respectively won the top three places in the short distance race M21A category; Yin Yingxin from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Lv Chunping from the School of Law, and Zhang Xinyue from the School of Journalism and Communication respectively won the top three places in the short distance race W21A category; Tang Yexiang from the School of Energy and Environment, Liu Yuan from the School of Computer Science, and Li Danyang from the School of Art and Design respectively won the top three places in the 100-meter orienteering race M21A category; Ma Yanyang from the School of Economics and Management, Lv Chunping from the School of Law, and Yin Yingxin from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering respectively won the top three places in the 100-meter orienteering race W21A category.

In order to host this competition successfully, the Physical Education Department meticulously organized and scientifically planned, with the strong support of the Security Department and the Logistics Service Center, successfully completed the organization and service work of the competition, which was highly praised by the Henan Province Radio Direction Finding Association, the Henan Province Student Sports Federation Orienteering Association, and the participating teachers and students. Through this competition, it not only helps to promote orienteering and radio direction finding sports, but also promotes the development of fitness activities in our school. It is also a comprehensive promotion of the school spirit and appearance of Zhongyuan University of Technology. The beautiful campus environment and thoughtful competition service of our school have left a deep impression on hundreds of teenagers, teachers, and parents from the province, who have all raised their cameras to take photos and commemorate the event.

The Physical Education Department will take this competition as an opportunity to continuously strengthen the construction of campus sports culture, carry out a variety of mass sports activities, attract more teachers and students to actively participate in physical exercise, and lay a solid physical health foundation for the high-level construction of Henan University of Electronic Technology.
