From May 16 to 18, 2024, Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the Party General Branch of Department of Physical Education of Zhongyuan University of Technology, Wei Jian, Director of the Department, Zhang Zhenhua, Director of the Office, and Zhai Yuxuan, a teacher from the Football, Basketball, and Volleyball Teaching and Research Office, visited Kaifeng to conduct enrollment promotion and expert lectures.

On the morning of May 16, the enrollment promotion team first visited Lv Zhongwei, Dean of the Kaifeng Municipal Academy of Education Science in charge of basic education, and Wang Zisong, Deputy Director of the Education and Sports Bureau in charge of sports work. They introduced the development of the university and the progress of the establishment of Henan University of Electronic Science and Technology, expressing gratitude for the support provided for the university’s enrollment promotion in Kaifeng. Subsequently, the enrollment promotion team visited four high schools in Kaifeng, including Kaifeng Liyang Foreign Language School, Kaifeng No. 25 Middle School, Kaifeng Qiushi Middle School, and Kaifeng High School Experimental School, to carry out enrollment promotion.

On the afternoon of May 16, the enrollment promotion team from Department of Physical Education held discussions with Guo Cuiling, Principal of the high school section of Kaifeng Liyang Foreign Language School, Wang Dong, Vice Principal, Zhang Hua, Vice Principal, and Li Yue, the senior grade class teacher, covering in-depth communication and exchange on school development, enrollment policies, construction of student source bases, and future cooperation. Wei Jian, Director of Department of Physical Education, provided a detailed introduction to the history and current status of the school’s development, educational strength, development plan, and professional settings, with a focus on the establishment of Henan University of Electronic Science and Technology. Both parties reached a consensus on future school exchanges and cooperation. Following the meeting, a plaque ceremony for the “Zhongyuan University of Technology Outstanding Student Source Base” was held. At 7:30 pm, Wei Jian, Director of Department of Physical Education, delivered a health lecture titled “Love Life, Embrace Health—Relieving the Study Pressure of High School Students” to over 80 students from the senior grade. This was followed by the screening of the university’s enrollment promotion video and an enrollment presentation, during which all the questions of interest to the students were answered one by one. Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the Party General Branch of Department of Physical Education, distributed tote bags and application guides, carefully prepared by the department and featuring the university’s emblem and motto, to the students attending the lecture. He encouraged the students to study diligently, relax their mindset, and strive to be admitted to their ideal universities.

On May 17-18, the enrollment promotion team went to Kaifeng No. 25 Middle School, established in 1919, Kaifeng Qiushi Middle School, and Kaifeng High School Experimental School for enrollment promotion. They held enrollment discussions with Zhang Haiying, Principal of Kaifeng No. 25 Middle School, Li Tianfu, Party Committee Secretary, Yang Rui, Vice Principal, Chang Feng, Director of the Teacher Development Office, Yu Haitao, Chairman of the Trade Union and Director of the Enrollment Office, and Director of the Senior Grade; Pu Hongwei, General Principal of Kaifeng Qiushi Middle School; Fang Jianyun, Executive Principal of Kaifeng High School Experimental School, Shang Jiawei, Vice Principal of Kaifeng High School, Gao Long, Director of the 24th Senior Grade of Kaifeng High School Experimental School, Wang Yanbin, Deputy Director of the 24th Senior Grade, and senior class teachers Guo Chenliang, Du Yanyang, and Yue Yonghui. At the discussion, Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the Party General Branch, gave an enrollment promotion from aspects such as the university overview, educational strength, development plan, professional settings, and enrollment policies. Wei Jian, Director of the Physical Education Department, focused on introducing the work of establishing Henan University of Electronic Science and Technology and had in-depth communication and discussion on university development, enrollment policies, construction of student source bases, and follow-up cooperation, agreeing on the next steps for enrollment consultation work. After the discussion, the “Zhongyuan University of Technology Outstanding Student Source Base” plaque was awarded at the three high schools.

During the enrollment promotion work, Wei Jian, Director of Department of Physical Education , Zhao Hongliang, Secretary of the Party General Branch, and Zhang Zhenhua, Director of the Office, visited the Jinming Campus of Henan University to greet the football team participating in the “Governor’s Cup” futsal competition, encouraging them to work together, strive hard, perform well, and shine for the university, while also paying attention to safety, preventing heatstroke, and strengthening learning and exchange with brother colleges and universities to show the good spirit of Zhongyuan University students.

This enrollment promotion activity further deepened the understanding of Zhongyuan University of Technology among some high school teachers and students in Kaifeng City, and increased the influence and visibility of the university. The canvas tote bags designed and customized by Department of Physical Education as small gifts were highly praised by teachers and students. In the next stage, Department of Physical Education will customize a batch of practical small gifts for target students, and through regular promotion and continuous exchange activities, contribute to attracting more high-quality students and accelerating the high-quality development of Zhongyuan University of Technology.
