On the evening of May 30th, the 15th “Youth, Sunshine, Health” Sports Cultural Festival and Aerobics Fitness Competition of Zhongyuan University of Technology, hosted by the School Sports Committee and undertaken by the Party Committee Propaganda Department, Labor Union, Youth League Committee, Student Affairs Office, Security Office, Logistics Service Center, and Department of Physical Education, was held at the Ziwei Square of Longhu Campus. Song Xiaowei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of Zhongyuan University of Technology, as well as the heads of relevant departments, watched the competition together with teachers and students.

The competition kicked off with a solo performance of “Waiting” by Tian Ye, a teacher from the School of Journalism and Communication. In the final rounds of aerobics dance and fitness competitions, the 10 department teams that entered the aerobics dance finals presented a visual feast for the audience with their vigorous dancing and exquisite coordination. The 12 contestants in the A and B groups of the fitness and bodybuilding finals showed their upright posture, muscular physiques, and youthful charisma through both compulsory and the optional movements, eliciting rounds of applause and cheers. The passionate and energetic hip-hop dance performance by the school’s art troupe’s street dance team further pushed the atmosphere to a climax.

After intense competition, the outstanding performers in each event emerged victorious. The School of Journalism and Communication, the School of Law, and Intellectual Property School were awarded the first prize for their aerobics dance group performance. The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Industrial Design, Zhongyuan-Petersburg Aviation College, and School of Energy and Environment won the second prize, while the School of Art and Design, School of Foreign Studies, School of Architectural Engineering, Software College, and School of Economics and Management received the third prize for their aerobics dance group. Wang Sen from the School of Economics and Management, Zhou Shihao from the School of Information and Communication Engineering, and Yan Yihang from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and School of Industrial Design won the champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up respectively in the Men's Physique Group A. Xia Chenlong from the School of Costume, Chen Hang from the School of Computer Science (School of Artificial Intelligence), and Wu Mingze from the School of Economics and Management won the champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up respectively in the Men's Physique Group B. The School of Information and Communication Engineering, School of Costume, School of Mathematics and Information Science, and School of Computer Science (School of Artificial Intelligence) received the Excellent Organization Award for the 15th "Youth·Sunshine·Health" Sports Culture Festival and Aerobics Dance, Fitness, and Bodybuilding Competition.

As a traditional sports event in our university, the Sports Culture Festival provides a youthful stage for college students to show their talents and personalities. It not only enhances students' physical and artistic qualities as well as teamwork spirit, but also comprehensively displays the teaching achievements of our university's aerobics dance and fitness programs. It creates a positive and healthy campus sports culture atmosphere for more students to enjoy the fun of physical exercise, strengthen their physique, improve their personality, and hone their willpower.
