On the special day commemorating the 87th anniversary of the “July 7th Incident,” the General Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education organized a meaningful Party Day activity. From July 6th to 7th, with reverence for history and remembrance for the revolutionary martyrs, party members embarked on a journey to visit the Yin Ruins, Ma’s Manor, the Red Flag Canal, and Yue Fei Temple. Through on-site learning, they deeply felt the excellent traditions and revolutionary spirit of the Chinese nation.
On July 6th, they first visited the Yin Ruins, a sacred place that has witnessed the more than three thousand years of Chinese civilization. Under the guidance of a docent, everyone gained an in-depth understanding of the unique charm of oracle bone script, bronze ware, and the culture of the Shang Dynasty. Party members expressed that, as physical education workers in the new era, they must inherit and promote the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, and contribute their strength to the cultivation of more sports talents with cultural literacy.
After that, everyone proceeded to the Ma’s Manor. This manor is not only an exquisite architectural complex but also an important witness to the modern revolutionary history of China. Here, the party members listened to the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs and felt their spirit of fearlessly facing difficulties and moving forward bravely for the revolutionary cause. Everyone expressed that they must internalize this spirit, embody it in their actions, and practice the original intention and mission of the Communist Party members with practical actions.
On July 7th, the group arrived at the Hongqi Canal in Linzhou. The spirit of the Hongqi Canal is a symbol of the Chinese nation's self-reliance, hard work, unity, and selfless dedication. Through on-site visits to exhibitions and watching documentary films, the party members deeply appreciated the difficulty faced by the people of Lin County in building this great project under extremely harsh conditions. Everyone expressed their determination to apply the spirit of the Hongqi Canal to their life and work, to continuously improve themselves, and to contribute to the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Finally, everyone arrived at Yue Fei Temple. Yue Fei is a national hero of the Chinese nation, and his spirit of loyalty and dedication to his nation has inspired generations of Chinese people. In front of the statue of Yue Fei, the party members observed a moment of silence in tribute. Everyone expressed their determination to learn from Yue Fei's patriotic spirit and noble character, to remember their original aspiration and keep their mission firmly in mind, and to contribute to the prosperity and strength of our motherland.
This Party Day activity not only allowed the members of the Department of Physical Education to deeply feel the historical and cultural heritage and revolutionary spirit of the Chinese nation, but also enhanced everyone's cohesion and combat effectiveness. Everyone expressed that they will transform the gains from this activity into a strong driving force for promoting work development, and will meet the undergraduate education teaching evaluation and the successful renaming of the university with practical actions.
